Clone Wars EVENT RULES:
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
General Do’s and Don’ts

When doing or helping in an event unless you are an event character, make sure you are cloaked, goded, nocliped, not targeted and on your Gamemaker on duty job with your name changed to TGM “name”.

Do not go to areas on the map that you normally are not allowed to go to unless you have rp and gamemaker reason to be there. You should not just be listening in on what some places are talking about in RP unless it's your event.

If you see a gamemaker doing an event, it's encouraged to get more experience that you ask if they need your help. The more everyone shares the workload, the more fun we can have on our characters as well.

No tazing should be done during events unless stated otherwise

Listen to higher ranking GM’s Disregarding this rule will result in punishment from the HGM

There will be one sole gm who is in charge of an event. multiple gm’s can contribute to the planning of an event but ONE will lead them during the event.

No TGM may hand out any pk of any sort. GM can only hand out namepk IF the player does something really stupid, SGM can give out FPK after talking to the player about it first.

Keep events at least one hour in between each other. The players do have other rp they like to do such as training.

Gamemakers are NOT staff. The only times when Gamemakers have any authority similar to a staff member are when no staff are currently on-duty, and there is a situation that must be dealt with. Gamemakers can not ban users, only kick, and address problems as seen. Jailing a player by typing !jail should be the first step to controlling a failrp/minge who is trying to ruin the event for others before kicking them.

Gamemakers can NOT incite, rile, participate, or start drama, conflict, or arguments with ANY staff or the player-base. All situations as Gamemakers must be handled professionally with proper reasoning and explanations for the Gamemaker in question. If a Gamemaker is reported and witnessed handling situations in any other way than a clear explanation for their actions in and event,

or advising the player-base or staff concerning GM business or events.

Abusing your new powers to give yourself items on your non Game Maker character or job is not allowed. You are to still abide by what your whitelists have originally.

Some weapons are donation type weapons, these weapons will be off limits with the exception that you get permission from the faction lead who uses that weapon.

Do not involve your other characters into your events. This has caused problems in the past, Let other gm’s to progress your character's story.

Do not give your characters RP benefits or bonuses, again let other gm’s progress your characters story.

Do not pick up people without justifiable cause. I.E. Minge ruining an event, some gm rp matter that lets you, of course this should be written down somewhere. Or maybe even to stop an RDMer.

When changing maps, before using voice amp, and bringing people. Let them know in ooc chat.server.

Finally, if you have any questions The HGM and other SGM are always open and willing to help at the earliest convenience to them, please clarify any questions before doing something you are unsure about.

Q menu and Commands:

Spawnlists: Top left corner of Q menu, anything in the addons folder is able to be used in the server for props and rp in events.

Weapons: There are a few weapons that are off limits, Since the list of weapons that are donator and off limits is quite long ask an SGM or HGM of a specific weapon within your event template.

Entities:

Sky editor - Spawn a fog cube or other cube. Hold C and right click on the cube then click on edit properties.

Jetpacks are to be only spawned a maximum of two times so get all the players who need on at the start of the event, and put it to the side of the map no player can find or get to.

Event Build up and cool down (how to make good events!)

The first section is just a list of basic rules and below that will be a step by step for all gamemakers to make good events!

TGM will be required to fill out an event template that has to be approved to do by Senior gamemaker plus. Once they become a normal gm they are not required to do so anymore but encouraged to at least keep their events documentation.

Make your events explainable, beatable, and fun for everyone. Nobody likes an rp situation that they don't at least have the chance to succeed.

Every event should have objectives for all factions.

Do not attack locations on the main map that do not have any of that faction online. It is completely unfair.

Make sure to clear decals and ragdolls while your event is continuing to keep stability of the server.

Do not spawn enemies on top of players. Make sure it makes sense the enemy got to that location by walking through a door, jumping out of a vehicle, etc.

Pay attention to the chat, Players will be doing radio rp and they won't wait long until they assume what they did worked. I.E. If you don't want them to hack a specific computer radio rp with them back.

Familiarize yourself with how much hp enemies should get, most factions you can raise an enemies hp to about 4000 before it starts to be not fun.

Familiarize yourself of how much props, vehicles, entities etc. you can spawn with max players until the server begins to chug. Getting a good grasp of how much the server can handle will let you know how you can plan your larger scaled events.

Ask to use specific weapons and whitelists that are not the whitelists you get from becoming a gm.

Make sure to ask questions! Even experienced gm’s still learn how to do things!

Off Map Events

Step One: If you are a TGM  fill out a template and hand it in to an SGM and await approval, If you are a GM+ then begin planning just like the template or added to your current campaign document. The planning phase should include at least what you are gonna say at briefing.

Step Two: Let the other gamemakers know that you will be doing an event at “x” time. Ask for help at the same time

Step Three: Make sure you and everyone who is helping you are in the main event channel on teamspeak and make sure the people helping you understand they are helping, not doing there own event. Still listen to their questions about how they are helping.

Step Four: Get a naval to call the db and host it and tell him what to say

Step Five: Give briefing to either the entire server or highest ranking person of that faction. (up to you.)

Step Six: Dismiss them to get ready and begin map change.

Step Seven: make sure everyone who is helping understands there tasks during loading screen.

Step Eight: Set up the event how you wanted. The first step will always being set up there spawn location whether that be on the ground or on a ship. Then continue to set up the event with its characters, and dupes and buildings. Do not pre spawn NPC’s as this may cause some lag issues. (try and keep this under 15 minutes.)

Step Nine: Give the players greenlight and execute the event. Don't forget to check chat and admin tickets for rp questions they are trying to confirm with you. As well as to not forget to clean the ragdolls and decals as you move to the other locations. The players may do something that warrants for things to change in your event, go with the flow and adapt to what they do. They adapt to the mission and you adapt to what they do.

Step Ten: Do not focus on one location for too long, there is a whole server try to have a fun experience.

Step Eleven: End the event however it may have ended and map change. During loading screen think of things you will say at debrief now that you actually saw what happened.

Step Twelve: Give your debrief and ask for any PTS to further continue the campaign in the future.

Main Map Event

Like an Off map event the first several steps will be the same.

Step Three: Make sure you and  everyone who is helping you are in the mini event channel on teamspeak and make sure the people helping you understand they are helping, not doing there own event. Still listen to their questions about how they are helping.

Step Four: Set up around the map. Get you and your help to hop on the whitelists you will need for the event.

Step Five: Commence your attack or Passive RP.
